Mother’s Day is a sure sign that spring is here and summer can’t be far behind. The Lehigh Valley offers many options to please mom and keep the kids out of the doghouse. Just remember, unless otherwise noted, reservations are definitely a must and tickets will sell out quickly. So if you’re reading this, it’s May and you best get a move on planning out mom’s special day.
May 12: Mother’s Day Tea: “Fabulous Flappers”
Presented by Ellie Laubner, give mom a relaxing Saturday afternoon as this presentation steps back in time to explore the fashions of the “Roaring Twenties.” Free to members, non-members: adults $10, children $4. Pre-registration and prepayment required. 1 p.m.

May 12 & 13: 53rd Annual Downtown Bethlehem Fine Art and Craft Show
Give mom a day of outdoor fun in the (hopefully!) sun in downtown Bethlehem for the well loved sidewalk arts and crafts fair that brings out some of the best local artists in the Valley. The perfect place to pick up a last minute gift, or make one in the Children’s Activity area.

Give mom the English tradition of tea time in the Secret Valley. Experience Edwardian splendor of the century-old coach. Deluxe Coach Passengers may opt to purchase a beverage while enjoying the near two hour excursion. Full tea service will be in the Dining Car and feature tapas plate offerings.
