10 Qs with…Dylan Schneider

His videos have been getting massive attention on YouTube and now 18-year-old country singer Dylan Schneider is coming to the Lehigh Valley. With a massive following – over 1,000,000 on socials alone – Schneider made history at the end of 2017 as the first country artist to sign with Interscope Records, known for pop superstars like Maroon 5, Gwen Stefani and Madonna, to name a few. With that kind of company in place, Schneider takes the stage at One Centre Square in Easton on April 7. We asked him a few quick questions before his visit.

What’s your favorite thing to do with a Friday night when you’re not on stage?

Go home to my family and friends in Indiana, eat an awesome dinner that my mom cooks and then have some fun with some of my buddies after, whatever that may be. We always seem to get into something.

What’s the weirdest part of filming music videos?

When you have to get your makeup done. Like that ain’t me haha.

What’s your secret to getting so many likes and followers on social media?

If I told you, it wouldn’t be a secret.

What’s the last thing you seriously binged on TV?

Jersey Shore. Since I was like 12 I’ve bought every season on DVD. That’s something people don’t really know about me but I go crazy for it. Super excited they are bringing it back to MTV soon.

What genres of music would we find on your playlist?

Everything. I don’t put any limitations on what I listen to. If it sounds good, I’m all about it.

Food you can’t live without?

Buffalo Wild Wings Mild and Honey BBQ boneless wings.

What’s one band or song you can admit is your guilty music pleasure.

Nickelback. They are the reason I started playing guitar in the first place. I think they are amazing. Been jammin’ their stuff since I was about 5 years old.

What app do you spend the most time wasting time with on your phone?

Candy Crush. I’ve gone through like three phones in the past two years and I never save my progress on Facebook so I have to start over every time. It’s worth it though.

If you had to describe your concert experience in one sentence, what would you say?

With such a great reception by fans and online to your music, what’s your next goal?

Get a song on the radio and take my career to the next level. In the meantime we are just gonna keep doing what we always do, growing the fan base ourselves and playing shows all over for them.
