The Harry Packer Mansion

“The perfect blend of old world opulence and modern convenience.” The Harry Packer Mansion, built in 1847, sits atop the hills of the Victorian village. The mansion is a modern-day Bed & Breakfast featuring a carriage house, wine bar, murder mystery weekends and self-guided tours as well as space for private events. The mansions’ outdoor balcony offers unparalleled views of the town below, a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing beverage.

Marion Hose Bar

As the county seat, Jim Thorpe garners a lot of attention. And, rightfully so! Newcomer to the restaurant and bar scene is Marion Hose Bar. Situation at 16 West Broadway, Marion Hose blends history with innovation and showcases it all in the renovated firehouse. Their menu features locally sourced craft beers, fine wines and whiskies as well as locally sourced seasonal dining options, indoors and out!

Somersault Letterpress

Another one of the new kids on the block in the heart of downtown Jim Thorpe is a beacon for history meets modernization. Somersault Letterpress, located at 60 Broadway, is bringing back the mom and pop retail and vintage boutique printing, one color at a time!  Their shop features a Heidelberg Windmill press and a hand-fed Chandler & Price press along with a creative designer and an expert printer, both with an eye for detail. Together with their clients they brainstorm, design, create, print and package each piece artfully and elegantly offering everything from business cards to wedding packages. The Chamber relies on Somersault Letterpress for the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Annual Awards Dinner invitations and ephemera.
